What is the Artificial Intelligence Observatory?

The Artificial Intelligence Observatory analyzes the evolution of Artificial Intelligence technologies and their impact on Italian companies. The focus is on investments, organizational maturity, concrete applications, and emerging trends, with the aim of understanding how AI is changing processes, systems, and decision-making models.

The new 2026-2027 edition was officially launched with the Kick-off on 29 April, a key moment to define the research directions, share emerging priorities, and start the collaboration journey among the companies in the new Community. The focus is on a phase in which introducing AI is no longer enough: it must be made operational, governable, and sustainable over time.

Why is AI a strategic lever today?

AI is increasingly a strategic lever because it requires integration into processes, systems, and decision-making models. In the context outlined by the Kick-off, governance, security, data quality, and impact measurement become central elements needed to turn AI into a real operational capability.

The Observatory program develops through a series of meetings that accompany the entire research and discussion journey over the year.
