Artificial intelligence is entering an increasingly application-driven phase within industrial processes. For companies operating in the furniture, interior design and component supply chain, this evolution creates new opportunities across planning, operations and supply chain management. At the same time, it requires effective integration capabilities, reliable data and an in-depth understanding of industry dynamics.

These topics will be the focus of DGS FuoriSICAM 2026, taking place on 21 October 2026 from 5:30 p.m. at Fossa Mala in Fiume Veneto, in the province of Pordenone. Now in its fourth edition, the event will bring together companies, professionals and industry experts to explore technologies and approaches that can turn innovation into tangible results for business and operational processes.

The event will focus on AI Modernization, understood as the integration of artificial intelligence into enterprise systems and processes, and Physical AI, which connects AI, automation and physical assets to enable more autonomous, adaptive and secure operations. Discussions will also address the traceability of materials, products and information flows, an increasingly important requirement for coordinating companies, manufacturing sites and systems across the supply chain.

A dedicated session will examine sustainability and the European Union Deforestation Regulation, EUDR, with particular attention to managing the data and evidence required to support compliance. Customer experiences, real-world use cases and practical demonstrations will show how these technologies can help improve efficiency, competitiveness and sustainability.

The initiative combines DGS capabilities with the industry-specific expertise of SMC, DGS Open Square Competence Centre, bringing innovation into the operational context of the furniture supply chain. The event also concludes the programme dedicated to AI Modernization and Physical AI promoted by DGS throughout September and October, placing the topics explored during the webinars within a real-world environment for discussion and knowledge sharing.
