DGS will participate in Cybertech Europe 2026, taking place on 13 and 14 October at La Nuvola in Rome. Digital Sovereignty, Secure AI and Cybersecurity for Physical AI will be at the heart of the presentation by DGS President Walter Ruffinoni and the experience offered at the DGS stand.
Artificial intelligence, robotics and automation are expanding the scope for innovation, along with the perimeter that organizations need to govern and protect. At Cybertech Europe, DGS will present an approach that integrates cybersecurity, AI, data and infrastructure to support secure, resilient innovation aligned with Digital Sovereignty.
Artificial intelligence is reshaping how businesses and institutions design solutions, make decisions and manage processes. As AI moves into physical systems, robots and operational environments, the cybersecurity perimeter expands further. Alongside data, identities and infrastructure, organizations must also protect models, sensors, connections, agents and the actions performed by intelligent systems.
DGS will bring these topics to Cybertech Europe 2026, taking place on 13 and 14 October 2026 at La Nuvola in Rome, presenting its approach to Digital Sovereignty, Secure AI and Cybersecurity for Physical AI.
On 13 October, Walter Ruffinoni, President of DGS, will discuss the role of Digital Sovereignty in building a more autonomous, secure and competitive European ecosystem. His presentation will explore the contribution of Italian industry players and how governance, orchestration and freedom of choice can translate innovation and compliance into tangible outcomes for businesses and institutions.
For DGS, Digital Sovereignty means maintaining control over data, infrastructure, models and critical processes, while preserving the freedom to choose how technologies are adopted and integrated. As a Sovereign Enabler, DGS supports organizations in designing secure, resilient and governable digital ecosystems by combining expertise in cybersecurity, cloud, open source, data, AI and governance.
At the DGS stand, visitors will be able to explore the convergence of artificial intelligence, robotics and automation through a demonstration featuring the Unitree B2 intelligent quadruped robot. The experience will show how Physical AI can analyse its surroundings and interact with the physical world, introducing new requirements for protection, control and resilience.
Cybersecurity must therefore be embedded throughout the entire lifecycle of intelligent systems, following a Security by Design approach. Data and access protection, threat modelling, continuous monitoring, human oversight, audit trails and containment capabilities all help make AI models, applications and agents more secure and governable.
Visitors will also be able to explore the DGS capabilities developed to address emerging security challenges, including AI Risk & Compliance, Cyber Multi-Compliance, Crisis Management, Crypto Agility, Fraud Operation Center, New Generation Managed Services and Trusted AI at Scale. The DGS team and its technology partners will provide an opportunity to discuss the strategies required to protect increasingly complex digital ecosystems and strengthen business continuity.
Through its participation in Cybertech Europe 2026, DGS will bring a vision to the debate in which innovation, security and technological autonomy advance together. Effective AI adoption is not only about gaining access to new tools. It also requires organizations to govern data, technologies, risks and dependencies while retaining control over their strategic assets.
Main translation choices: I kept the official capability names unchanged, translated capacità di scelta as freedom of choice to reinforce the Digital Sovereignty positioning, and used embedded throughout the entire lifecycle to make the Security by Design concept more natural in international cybersecurity language.
