DGS supports the Politecnico di Milano’s 2024 Supply Chain Planning Observatory research

DGS collaborates with the Supply Chain Planning Observatory of the Politecnico di Milano, offering know-how and expertise in the field. It contributes to steering its research by actively participating in meetings and promoting innovation in the sector.

DGS is proud to offer its know-how and expertise within the research programme of the 2024 Supply Chain Planning Observatory. This collaboration focuses on an in-depth analysis of the ‘state of the art’ of Supply Chain Planning, exploring crucial aspects such as Technology and Data, Processes and Practices, Organisation and Skills.

DGS’s support for these activities underlines its important position in the world of Supply Chain Planning thanks also to the cutting-edge solutions offered. This is confirmed by the recent mention of DGS among the leading European suppliers of Supply Chain Planning solutions in Gartner’s ‘Vendor Identification Tool for Supply Chain Planning Technology’ ( September 9, 2023). Its ComplEtE® platform was cited for its essential functional/technical capabilities in supporting industry leaders in end-to-end supply chain management.

The Supply Chain Planning Observatory, as well as the research program in which DGS will collaborate, aims to conduct analyzes and studies to offer Italian organizations an in-depth understanding of the challenges and opportunities related to advanced Supply Chain planning. In addition, the research aims to:

  • encourage opportunities for meeting and discussion between supply and demand actors, promoting better collaboration in a pre-competitive context;
  • be an authoritative point of reference for companies that want to stay updated on these issues and monitor market developments;
  • contribute to creating a culture of innovation and disseminating knowledge in public and private organizations engaged in digital innovation and advanced supply chain planning projects.

In addition, there are several survey topics with related objectives.

DGS, thanks to its expertise in the Supply Chain Planning and Supply Chain Management sectors, will play a key role in directing research, proposing relevant topics and participating in the meetings planned by the Observatory.
